Her productions often begin with melodies, textures, or sound concepts that arrive unexpectedly, sometimes waking her from sleep, demanding to be brought into reality. xceedz (“ex-seeds”) is a Canadian underground bass artist, producer, and creative force from Guelph, Ontario whose music lives at the intersection of transformation, rebellion, and radical self-expression. Blending deep bass electronic music with alternative influences, spoken word, live drumming, cinematic textures, and emotionally raw storytelling, her sound is both immersive and difficult to categorize by design.
Before producing, she was first a drummer. Her first major purchase as a teenager was a drum kit, which became one of the earliest expressions of her identity and creativity. Returning to drumming after her postpartum journey marked another major reclamation of self — one that now heavily influences the rhythmic intensity and emotional pacing of her productions.
Her artistry explores themes of rebirth, sovereignty, resilience, emotional alchemy, and unapologetic individuality. As a therapist, single mother of two, musician, model, and self-described black sheep survivor, xceedz openly embraces the complexity of her identity rather than compartmentalizing it. That same ethos runs through her music: refusing to shrink, conform, or dilute herself for acceptance.
Influenced by artists such as Doctor P, Rusko, FKA Twigs, Dance Gavin Dance, and Avenged Sevenfold, xceedz draws inspiration less from genre imitation and more from the fearlessness and perspective those artists bring to their work. Her sound merges dark melodic bass music with punk spirit, emotional vulnerability, hypnotic atmospheres,
and moments of explosive release.
